So my bro, Sarah, has been telling me to write a story about Victoria and Sam... I mean, they're adorable and everything, but an entire story about them? I was thinking of actually making it so that the title of each chapter, or entry, would be a song title relating to the story? So it would be a song-fic (I think it's what it's called...). I'll try one here, and see how you guys like it! (For the record, this is all fiction.)

Hey There Delilah
The sky outside was light orange, filling the air with a tender warmth that brought back sweet memories. His arms around me, the gentleness of his gestures. I gripped onto the covers of my bed, clumping them into my fists. Stupid college, I whispered in my head. The campus outside was enormous, and I remembered how my heart fluttered when I took my first step through the school gates. My curiosity burned as I explored all the different classrooms, scuttling forward with excitement.
I took a glance at the letter on my bed, the one I hadn't read yet, with a pang in my chest. It had been there since the day I got in my dorm, but I was afraid that I would break out into a puddle of tears if I opened it. I could make out his slightly messy handwriting on the envelope, and my breath immediately started to get uneven. He wanted me to live my dream, and so I left for this amazing school. Once again, I was faced with the decision: do I read it?
Yes. Taking a deep breath, I reached over and tore the seal. Inside, along with the letter, there was a necklace in the shape of a half-eaten cookie. A smile crept onto my lips, my eyes lighting up. The memory was still fresh in my mind, the laughter and happiness flashing in a blur. I started reading the letter.
Hey Vi,
How's college? I bet your school is amazing compared to mine. I know this is kind of... old fashioned. You know, to write a letter, but hey! I thought it'd be an interesting change. Or at least, I hope it was...
By the way, how'd you like the necklace? I picked it out before you left, and I thought you might like it. You and your cookies. :) Dang, I miss you. Tons. But if you're living out your dream, that's all I could ever ask for. So... tell me the details! I can't wait to hear from you.
I bet you have tons of guys all over you already. You just can't keep them at bay, can you? Haha, just make sure they know you have a big bad boyfriend waiting for you half-way across the world, alright? And if any of them start bugging you, know that I'm merely a Skype message away.
Yours truly,
Sam
I found myself giggling, imagining his soothing, silly voice reading it out to me as if he were actually there. I kept a stray strand of hair behind my ear, reading the letter once more. That's when I noticed the arrow on the bottom right-hand corner of the page, with 'Turn over' scribbled in tiny letters. The page crinkled as I flipped it over, and as I started reading, a few tears crept into the corners of my eyes.
Hey there Victoria, what's it like in that new city?
I'm eight thousand miles away, but girl tonight you look so pretty.
Yes, you do.
L.A. can't shine as bright as you.
I swear, it's true.
Hey there Victoria, don't you worry 'bout the distance.
I'm right there if you get lonely, give this song another listen.
Close your eyes.
Listen to my voice, it's my disguise.
I'm by your side.
Oh, it's what you do to me.
Oh, it's what you do to me.
Oh, it's what you do to me.
Oh, it's what you do to me.
What you do to me.
Hey there Victoria, I know times are getting hard,
But just believe me, girl someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar.
We'll have it good.
We'll have the life we knew we would, my word is good.
Hey there Victoria, I've got so much left to say.
If every simple song I wrote to you would take your breath away,
I'd write it all.
Even more in love with me you'd fall, we'd have it all.
Oh, it's what you do to me.
Oh, it's what you do to me.
Oh, it's what you do to me.
Oh, it's what you do to me.
What you do to me.
What you do to me.
A thousand miles seems pretty far,
But they've got planes, and trains, and cars.
I'd walk to you if I had no other way.
Our friends would all make fun of us,
And we'd just laugh along because we know that none of them have felt this way.
Victoria, I can promise you that by the time we get through,
The world will never ever be the same,
And you're to blame.
Hey there Victoria, you be good and don't you miss me.
Four more years and you'll be done with school,
And I'll be making history like I do.
You know it's all because of you.
We can do whatever we want to.
Hey there Victoria, here's to you.
This one's for you.
Oh, it's what you do to me.
Oh, it's what you do to me.
Oh, it's what you do to me.
Oh, it's what you do to me.
What you do to me.
