AlexxVictoria: One-Shot

'Sup Creepy Stalkers!

I wanted to write this one-shot of Alex and Victoria, as if they were secret agents, just because that sounds awesome... Agents are awesome, right? Anyway, hope you enjoy. A bit mushy, but you know... romance normally is. Dedicated to Freefall92... Erm... ONWARDS!

The day was July 27th in the year 2014. A girl with long dark hair strode along the sidewalk, cars zooming past her, whipping her hair about. She wore a black t-shirt, along with a baseball cap and dark skinny jeans. Her sneakers scraped on the cold hard ground, a low scratchy sound every step she took. A messenger bag was slung across her shoulder, yet she still had books in her arms. Her name was Victoria Westfall. The place was practically deserted, which is why she was started so much when someone came up behind her and tapped her on her shoulder.

“Hello,” a male voice sounded behind her.

“Wahh!!” she screamed, dropping her books. She stood taller and glared at the man in her sight. He wore casual clothing, typical of a teenage boy, along with a matching baseball cap to her own. He had chocolate brown hair and he carried a backpack that was jet black, and bulky.

“Sorry to startle you,” he said, picking up her books. “My name is…”

“I really don’t care,” she moaned. “If you’re here to make fun of me then you can just turn around and run your little ass home.” She turned, balancing her books in her arms and walked off, but he wasn’t done.

“I’m not here to make fun of you, slow down.” He grabbed her arm, but she shoved him off, walking faster. “Victoria Westfall, stop right there. I was hoping not to do this, but stop right there.” She stopped.

Not turning around, she asked, “How do you know my name?”

“I’m an agent on the field. I was sent here to bring you back to headquarters, and I will use force if I have to.”

“You seem like an amateur. Someone who hasn’t been in the field long enough to know who you were being sent to retrieve.” She turned and dropped her books. “I’m Victoria Westfall, fielding agent since I was the age of eight. My family died when I was seven, so the agency took me in as one of their own.” She took a step towards him, but he kept his taser pointed at her chest. “That thing isn’t going to do you any good, just saying… What did you say your name was?”

He lowered his taser and gave her a look of annoyance. “Look, we all know you wanted to go finish school rather than be a spy, so you don’t have to try to act so badass; one.” He held up a finger, “Two, everyone already knows you’re the Chief’s golden angel, and that you’re the best in the field, so again, no need to act badass.” Slicking his hair back, he held out his hand. “Alexander Pendragon, pleasure to make your acquaintance.”

She looked him over a few times, then sighed and took his hand. “I’m afraid I can’t say the same to you without being insincere, although I am curious as to why Chief sent for me.”

“Don’t talk to me so formally, it’s so weird.” He rolled his eyes. “And you know why he sent for you. He’s so paranoid that while you’re at school someone will-“

“-attack me, and that because of school I’d have lost my ability to fight them off.” She gave him a look. “I know.”

“Then why ask?”

“It’s habit I guess,” she said losing all formality. “And sorry for acting all formal and stuff… it’s how I was taught to speak when addressing another agent…”

“It’s how everyone was taught. You’re just way too obedient.”

“No I’m not!” She glared. “I can break rules…” He smirked, taking a step closer to her, making their faces only inches apart. The air was still cold and dry, causing their breath to make clouds in the other’s face.

“Then break the one rule your daddy Chief made especially for you.”

“I…I can’t do that.” The wind howled in their ears. She turned, caressing her arm for warmth. “Chief created that rule for my safety.”

“Nothing’s safe when you’re an agent, Victoria. You, of all people, should know that.” She bit her lip in thought. The one rule that I’m not supposed to break: to fall in love with another agent. Chief… he’s like my Dad! Breaking that rule is like… disobeying my own father. But… I can’t think like that forever. She looked at Alex, fear and nervousness clearly shown in her eyes.
I’ve got to break that rule.
Their lips crashed into each other, sparks flew and her head spun. Her heart beat faster with every second of it all. It seemed like forever before he pulled away. His hair was no longer slick back, her hand in it, pulling him closer. She already missed his lips touching hers.

“So, how’s that for rule breaking?” she asked, grinning, her lips still tingling from the new sensation. “The one rule I swore to never break.”

“Well, you’re a really good kisser, I’ll give you that.” He winked, his cologne smell coming off strong. “A tiny bit rebellious… not the type of stuff I would say a disobedient kid would do, but hey,” he chuckled, “it’s a start.”

“Oh shut up,” she huffed, turning the other way.

“Hey, that was a good start! Stick to it, maybe you’ll actually get to the point where people could call you a normal rebellious teenager. I mean… you are fourteen.” He hugged her from behind. “And for the record, you are pretty badass.”

“Gee, thanks,” she said sarcastically, rolling her eyes and pushing him back. “I’ll be getting home. I have homework to do.”

“C’mon Vic, don’t tell me you didn’t like that.” She turned on her heel and glared at him.

“One: don’t call me that, and two… back off.”

“No.” He stepped forward and pulled her into an embrace, catching her by surprise. “Victoria, Vic… whatever you like to be called. I’ve been your sparring partner all throughout your spying life, but you never noticed me. I fell in love with you since day one. I’m not letting you disappear now.”

“What did you say your last name was?” He smirked.

“Why? You thinking of marrying me? It’s Pendragon.”

“The killer of my parents had the last name of Pendragon. He’s currently in jail. His son was my age at the time. Chief said he would look after him, but I never knew he took him in.” She looked up at him and softly placed his hands at her waist. “How could I learn to trust you?” His eyes went wild.

“I swear, I had nothing to do with that. I was as innocent as you at the time, not that I expect you to forgive my dad for doing what he did, but you know… I didn’t know anything about it. You can trust me Vic.”

“I said don’t call me that.”

“Well it’s adorable and it fits you, so I’m going to call you that.”

“Whatever, but you need to prove to me that I can trust you… knowing your dad killed my family…” He kneeled and held her hand, looking up to her eyes.

“I’ll do whatever it takes Vic. If I have to make sure my dad, who despite what he’s done I still want to meet, never gets out of jail, I will do that. For you. Name it and consider it done.”

“Don’t be so dramatic, I asked you a pretty simple question.” He cocked his head and let out a laugh.

“Right. You can learn to trust me by getting to know me more?”

“Okay, so how do I get to know you more when I don’t trust you so much?”

“Well, you trust me enough to kiss me, apparently,” he teased, winking.

“Good enough for me.” She grinned and pulled him into the first of many long kisses to come.
